Senior Graphic Designer
With SAIC, Ms. Daley was a senior member of the Integrated Communications (IC) Team, where she had a primary role on the graphic design team and a secondary role as a writing team member. Her responsibilities included design and illustration of large publications and data-heavy infographics (i.e. charts, diagrams), designing posters, creating interior signage, performing complex back-end quality control on other design staff's work (especially for preflight and engaging with GPO), and enhancing photographic imagery, all for print or digital use. Her expertise is in working long, complex, data-intensive books, reports, and information graphics. As a writing team member, Ms. Daley's editorial and copywriting skills were used to proofread copy on design products as well as write sections of white papers based on independent research. Ms. Daley provided graphics support to USAID’s Africa Education Initiative, the Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Safety Administration, the U.S. Army’s Weapon Systems Handbook, a 300+ page photo- and data-intensive handbook for the U.S. Army to present to Congress, and internal SAIC corporate-level and business-development customers.

Ms. Daley led the association's overall design toward a consistent branding effort through a newly updated logo design and art direction of all corporate products. She was responsible for design, production management, and oversight of all marketing materials, including art direction, design and scheduling of 14 association conference campaigns per year, annual reports, magazine collateral, media kits, advertising development for magazine and newspaper insertion, and direct mail. Ms. Daley supervised in-house staff, oversaw budget for design and freelance designers. She performed strict quality control and preflight checks on all printed work. Highlights: Established new corporate branding, a design style guide for outside and internal designers, improved departmental process by strengthening designers' accountability to clients, determined budget and specified all new hardware and software upgrades for FY02 and FY03.
